SolarCAT Inc- Solar Dish Concentrator

This cutting edge concentrating solar dish generator system includes three dishes each measuring 70 feet in diameter and an underground air storage system which can create a peak output power of 1MW (Each solar dish produces 200KW). SolarCAT will begin demonstration by the end of 2009 at Riverpoint Solar Research Park, Southwest Solar Technologies' new test and demonstration site in the heart of Phoenix. The Arizona Department of Transportation estimates approximately 239,000 vehicles pass by the project site on Interstate 10 each day. As a member of the Raytech Corporation, Jon Ash worked on a team that developed input wind loads, designed the system for manufacturing, and used finite element analysis to verify structural integrity of some of the major structural components.
