Amonix- High Concentration Photovoltaic (HCPV) System

This is the first photovoltaic system capable of converting ¼ of the sun's energy into useable electricity. The 7700 Series measures 72 ft x 49 ft and produces 53kW (AC). It generates over 40% more energy in sunny climates than conventional fixed solar panels. The modular design allows for easy maintenance and upgrade in the field. As a member of the Raytech Corporation, Jon Ash worked on a team that developed input wind loads, designed the system for manufacturing, used finite element analysis to verify structural integrity of all major structural components, and worked with both hydraulic and structural steel vendors during fabrication.
